1993 Mercury Tracer car wont start

last night i was driving down the highway and my car died. rpms went to zero and i coasted into the emergency lane. i tried to start it but to my dismay, nothing. i am not getting a spark, i believe that it is the coil pack, but i am not too sure. battery is strong, headlight dont dim when tring to turn the engine over. please help.

I would check the camshaft and crankshaft sensors 1st. they are responsible on sychronizing the injector/s and giving the computer the engine speed and pistons position so that the computer ( Main Brain ) tells the ignition control module to fire the coil to produce the seconday voltage surge to the plugs.
