Interior problem
2004 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 66000 miles

My electronic inside rearview mirror is loose. I remove the square cover and expose the small circuit board, but I don't see any screws or other means of tightening the mirror.

There are none! This has a breakaway mirror, and it only is replaced. Here's how: Removal and Installation CAUTION:The interior rear view mirror is of the breakaway design. Excessive force in any direction will cause damage to the mirror. 1.Remove the interior rear view mirror.  Insert a small flat-blade screwdriver into the slot at the base of the mirror. Hold the mirror and pull the screwdriver rearward until the mirror snaps off the interior rear view mirror bracket.
