2001 Mercury Sable

I have a 2001 Mercury Sable with 72,000 miles. It has the 24 valve DOHC engine. Sometimes after I drive it, it will not start up again. After about 30 minutes it will then start and do fine. This has been happening a little more frequently and the wait for it to start seems to be taking a little longer each time. Is this a starter problem or is there something else I should be looking for. Thanks for your time.

You say it ont start. Will the engine crank?

It does absolutely nothing. It doesn't crank at all.
