1997 Mercury Sable Check Engine Code

The check engine light came on and I had the system scanned. The code was P0174 and it seems that the most likely culprit is a Failed H02S21. Is it possible to change replace this part on my own and if so how do I proceed?

Here is the code def.

P0174 System too Lean (Bank 2)

If your vehicle is running fine then the most likely culprits are.

A bad O2 sensor and or an Exhaust Leak before the sensor.

It is fairly easy to change out an O2 sensor. There is a special socket to use in most cases other wise a wrench will work just fine. Your best bet to determine size is when you goto purchase the sensor have them get you the socket or wrench that fits.
