im working on a 94 merc sable 3.0 v6. car cranks but will not start, it has spark, the fuel pump is running in tank and fuel get to fuel rails, but when ya turn switch on the pump runs continiously. the pump used to come on and ya hear it wirl for few seconds, then stop, so i think its not building pressure, could it be the pump or should i check the pressure regulator? if the regulator was bad would car not start?
