Engine Performance problem
1998 Mercury Mystique 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual
A couple of weeks back our car started acting up. When you would shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd it started jerking. Once you got into 4th gear it was fine. A friend said it sounded like the fuel filter was dirty and probably needs to be replaced. We did. Now the car won't start at all. We have checked the battery, its good. There is enough fuel. We have replaced the spark plugs. Still nothing.
