My question. The other day we were driving and my had to switch and get over a lane quickly. So basically floored the vechicle. After about 30 seconds, noticed smoke coming out of the vechicle. It was the coolent. Could this have happened by drving the vechicle in this manner or just by chance this happened. We are now changing the plastic housing for cooling system and noticed the sensor did not have a tight fit like the original and was told by the dealer they didnt sell the ring so we had to buy a new sensor. Can u tell me what makes this happen?

CHances are, the leak was about to happen regardless. When you rev the engine high, like you did, the pressure builds in the cooling system. The additional pressure most likely caused the problem.
