Indicated by arrow (1) Hold-down Nut
Indicated by arrow (2) ((ABS)) Sensor.

On the ((ABS)) light, your ((ABS)) speed sensor/sensors (2) in the sketch above could be giving you an early warning.
The sensors may also disengage the cruise control.

I have heard the rears are most common.

There just might be a recall on the ((ABS)) rear sensor/sensors.

You should call a local Lincoln/Mercury dealer and give him V.I.N. of your Mountaineer to see if a "recall" was established.
If there was it is a safety issue and they have to fix it at no charge to you.
Something "IS" not operating correctly in you ((ABS)) system...do not ignore it. It could become a dangerous situation!!

I hope this information helped;
Rick
