The OD light flashing is the trans telling you there is a problem. You can have the PCM scanned for the trans code. As far as the engine smoking, is it low on any fluids? Any noticeable leaks on the ground? Need to know what fluid is leaking, might be trans fluid out of the vent hitting the exhaust
