I have a shudder while driving. It occurs at different speeds and road conditions. It is intermittant and last for a few seconds.
I don't feel it in the steering, it seems to come up from the seat and is hard to pinpoint any certain location.
When it first started it was more pronounced when the a/c was used.

Not much info to go on
if the AC on /OFF make a difference would start by checking the ignition wires and tune up
but that would make the car shake and not your back and seat
if its in the seat usually in the back and would check tires and drive shaft U joints
