I'm asking about why my car won't start and what can I do to get it running again. My car is a 1991 mercury grand marquis w/ 160,000 miles on it. One day i was driving my marquis on my way to school and the battery dies and i had a jump start to get it running again. it does. the next day i changed the battery and the alternator and now it won't start at all. when i try to start it, it makes the noise that it wants to start but wont turn over. i also changed the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and the rotor but still no start. i made sure the alternator and battery were put in right and they were, i also checked to see if I get a spark out the distributor and it does. Also when i try to start the car i can smell gasoline under the drivers side but can't find exactly where its coming from. How can i get my car to start again?
