My grand marquis has some kind of electrical system problem. When I am driving on the highway, there is no problem, but when I'm stuck in traffic, the car will stall. I checked to see which lights came on when it stalled and the battery light and the oil light came on. i Believe that theres a problem with the battery, but the battery is almost new. I am just wondering if you may have any suggestions as to what I should do to repair this problem myself, instead of taking it to a Garage.

Idle air control sensor. They crud up and don't work right. Spray about half a can of carb cleaner into your intake. Pop the hose off AFTER the air filter. That should clean it off. Doesn't matter if the car is on or off. if that doesn't work, you'll need a new one. It's mounted on top of the intake snorkel after the filter and before the manifold. fairly inexpensive and simple fix
