Engine Mechanical problem
1985 Mercury Marquis V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

When you let the engine warm up, it floods itself out and lerches and smells like gas. We have tried fuel injection cleaner to no avail. We got a pcp valve and was told it was simple to replace. The car is an 85 and we have done everything to get the old one out. Is there a clip or something holding it in place. The new one we got does not have any kind of clip. Does this year of car have a choke on the carburator?

THe PCV should pull out of the valve cover. It is just pushed into the grokkit. As far as the choke, this is in and around the transition year from a carb to injection. If it does ave a varb, it will have a choke.
