I have a 1994 Merc cougar automatic with fuel inj 3.8 V6. It has 120,000 miles on it. When cold, it stalls as soon as I put it in gear. After a few miles, it is fine. I put a can of "sea foam " in the gas. That helped a little for about a day. Would cleaning/replacing the fuel injectors fix this? A friend of mine suggested cleaning/replacing the Idle air control valve. Could that fix it? Thanks!

No, replace you ECT, electronic coolant temp sensor!
This is the culprit when it's a cold idle problem!
