Yes it turns over but it sounds funny like a broken timing chain

Have a look under the timing chain cover. Compression test can also tell if the belt/chain is a concern, cracked flywheels can also sound like that. Once the noise is figured out and fixed, do the cooling fan(s) work? If the check engine light is on, scan for codes, in fact scan anyway, you may have freeze frame data to help in diagonsis.
