My '93 Cougar seems to have a problem either with the battery or alternator, or something else. When I went to start it yesterday it was dead. All the doors were fully closed and all lights were off. I got it jumped, but then when I pressed the brake pedal to put it in gear it almost died, but i released the pedal in time and the engine went back to normal. Once I turned my radio off the brake problem stopped, but once I got it back home and turned it off the car was totally dead like my battery was drained. Please help I need to move on Saturday and I can't get my car to the shop.

Load test the battery and alternator The alternator might not be putting out or the battery is not taking the charge. If this 2 checked out as per the load test have the electrical system check for a parastic drain.
