1992 Mercury Cougar 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 60000 miles

I have this 1992 cougar that I just bought, it has been sitting for a year without being driven, I know there will be issues. I just had the oil changed in it, and ever since, when I am idling at a light, the oil light starts flashing, it only happens when I am in gear and after I have been driving for more than 10 mins. What could be the cause of this? I was told a leaking vaulve cover, but the car did not do that before the oil change.

Some ford v8's are built differently from others and you have to make sure you use the correct oil or you will have problems. Make sure you have the correct oil in your engine before you run it again

Well I had to have the car repaired on friday, the oil pump and sensor went out, the light still flashes when I am idling in gear after I have been highway driving, but I did notice that when I flipped on my air cond or heat, that the light will flash in a differnt pattern even go off for a bit, which tell me I may have a electrical issue with that sensor flashing.
