Mercedes Benz SL500 Sensor Problem

Electrical problem
1999 Mercedes Benz SL500 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 70000 miles

Although both the hard and soft tops lock firmly in place, the light in the button for top operation continues to flash after securing either top. The top unlocked warning sound will beep for ten seconds or so and then stop.
Need to know where the sensor is as well as the part number.
Thank you ,
Bob

Hi Bob Zajac, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

I've checked for the sensor in Mit1 and Alldata and there's no sensor, all I got from it is the modules-see below

Try unplugging the module A7/5 and A7/5 k1 one at a time to ID what controls the light that constantly flashing and see what happens. If it does turn off have the affected module tested if okay you need to have the circuit checked by the dealership. This is as far as I can take you, there's not that much info pertaining the tops to troubleshoot the electrical portion if you're unsatisfied I asked you to request a refund
