Hi I just wanted to know if anyone has an idea why my slk230 99, check engine light will turn on and sometimes it would just be off? And is there any service center that would check the car for free? Btw I leave in the east bay near oakland ca. Thanks. Also just got it oil change. But the problem was before the oil change was done

Hi there,

most workshops will charge a small fee to do a scan, as often these high quality scan diagnostic tools cost many $1,000's of dollars it is only fair that you pay a small fee, go get a scan done and find out what the set fault code is.
