Vehicle is 300-TD, 5-cyl. Fuel and oil filters have been changed twice lately. Also added two bottles of engine/fuel tune up to diesel.
Hard shifting alternately lower then higer gears. Trans. prev. rebuilt and fluid full, pink asnd clear...
I have heard there is a hydraulic switch for the transmission located uder the pedal. Could this be causing the rouigh shifting problem?

Thanks.

I find it hard to believe that the transmission was recently rebuilt (maybe it was serviced), I have worked for Prtc Performance Products and transmission (out of Provo, Utah) for race cars, we have never been able to get any technical information for these early Mercedes transmissions let alone parts, we were able to get technical support and parts for BMWs but that costs us a pretty penny.
At any rate, to answer your question "I have heard there is a hydraulic switch for the transmission located under the pedal" the switch that you are referring to is the transmission kicked down switch, in other words the passing gear, it is not a hydraulic switch, and I don't think it is the problem, a rough shifting may be caused by, wear in the drive train, drive line doughnut, warn rear axle, or differential play, you better take it to a mechanic and have it diagnosed, but since you just took it to the transmission shop, the throttle body pressure cable may be out of adjustment
