1998 Mercedes Benz ML55 My car is failing to start
Electrical problem
1998 Mercedes Benz ML55 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 180 miles
My MB ML230 1998 is failing to start. Auto scanner designed for MB revealed a failure of signal transmission from what is called RFL to CAN. The CAN specifications as follows:
MB Number 0225455732
HW version 002000
SW version 33 1997
diagnosis version 81
Pin 7
The code for this malfunction is B 1040 & B 1703

B1040 "CAN communication fault to engine control module"
B1703 Intermittant No Start in AAM Immobiliser Module

I'm terribly sorry I don't think I can assist you in this problem this is dealership controlled and requires special testing tools and equipment
