I replaced the wiper motor on my ml but forgot to home the motor to the rest position. Do I have to remove everything and put the motor to rest to install the blades. I lined up the black markings on the windshield but the arms don't stop in the right position.

You will need to get the motor back to the rest position. After actuating the motor to the rest psotion remove the motor and set the wipers to your marks. Unfortunately your not going to get these to sit correctly without removing the motor.
