1999 Mercedes Benz CLK320 Reset Maintenance Due Light

Computer problem
1999 Mercedes Benz CLK320 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 28500 miles

How do I reset the maintenance due warning, the wrench that appears on the display, when an oil change is due?
The dealer costs are excessive for an oil change and the local "Jiffy lube" says they can't reset the warning.
The maintenance due message will appear after a predetermined time regardless of the mileage since the last oil change/reset. As you can see this car is not driven a lot and I hate to change oil solely based on time.

Hello –

Forgot to tell you, looks like you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.
