I was driving in the car pool lane and the check engine light was flashing the throttle was non responsive and the car slowed to about 3 mph. When I drove onto the tow truck the light was solid. Upon inspection no code violations and the car runs fine. Help?

This may be an ME SFI control unit failure. The ME is your engine management computer. It is the brain of your vehicle. I say this may be your problem due to the flashing check engine light, and no stored fault codes. Not having stored codes is where the problem really lies. Without any codes locating a component failure will be very difficult esp. Since the car runs fine now. Most shops will be wary of changing an ME with no codes, simply because there is no way to make sure this is the problem and the cost of an ME unit is usually $1000++
