2006 Mercedes Benz C280 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 48,000 miles

I own a 2006 Mercedes Benz C280 and I am considering replacing the air filter with a K & N Air Filter, however, I have been informed that the factury air filter in that car does not need to be replaced for it is a hepa filter, is this correct, or is it OK if I do replace it with a K & N filter?

Hi there,

I would leave the Benz filter as it is, you my be opening up a pandora's box of engine management problems if you try and re design Mr Benz's system. I would not bother.
