Brakes problem
1998 Mercedes Benz C230 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 205000 miles

How do you change rear brakes. I'm not sure how to change the rear brakes.

Hi there,

Check the pic, this should be your rear brakes, remove the pin, it will knock out, use a suitable lever between the rotor and the pad, compress the piston back into the caliper and remove the old pad, (do one side at a time & one pad at a time) repeat on inner pad and with the new pads fitted re fit the spring and pin, pump pedal to push pistons out again, repeat on other caliper, remember that this will force break fluid back into the reservoir, so just make sure that it dose not over fill and spill, if it looks to full, remove some fluid with a syringe or soak up a little with paper towel first.
