1997 Mercedes Benz C230 will not start
Engine Performance problem
1997 Mercedes Benz C230 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles
batt was bad. had starter tested it was bad. replaced starter will turn over sound like its going to start the shuts down. the fuel pump kicks on but sounds like maybe starveing for fuel

If the fuel pump is humming or making excessive noise then it will need to be replaced. When these go out in MB models they tend to make excessive amounts of noise prior to and when they fail. Also if you replace the pump consider replacing the fuel filter as well.
