1992 Mercedes Benz 500sl Engine misses intermittently

Engine Performance problem
1992 Mercedes Benz 500sl 41000 miles

Have replaced plugs and wires but engine will miss at times then get over it. Sometimes it may go 50 miles and run fine, other times it will begin the miss at 5 or 10 miles, then again runs fine. Does anyone have any ideas?
Oh, I've also had a service center clean injectors and I've also run cleaner through the fuel tank. Thanks!

These models are very prone to having internally leaking fuel pressure regulators that will often times cause a condition similar to this. I would be very suspect of this part as this is a common issue on this vehicle.

Thanks so much for your reply. Is there a way for testing for a faulty fuel pressure regulator?
