Engine Performance problem
1988 Mercedes Benz 300e 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 147k miles
1988 Mercedes Benz 300E
3.0L Gasoline F.I. 145kMiles
Engine starts perfect, drives perfect.
After 5 minutes, engine begins to “sputter†at idle speed only.
Eventually engine will stall and become nearly impossible to restart.
Use of accelerator pedal will maintain higher RPMs to keep engine running.
After approximately ½ hour of downtime, engine will restart and the cycle begins again.
No components have been replaced for this issue. Just plenty of reseating. Considering Coolant Temp. Sensor replacement
