1978 Mercedes Benz 300cd brake master cyl replacement

1978 Mercedes Benz 300cd 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150000 miles
I recently replaced the master cylinder on my 300cd when it began leaking fluid into the power assist, now it seems to be too tight, no pedal play. After I push it a couple times it seems to keep pressure on the brakes. Is there a way to adjust for this? The rad going into the master cylinder does not seem to have adjustment.

Did you remove the brake fluid from inside the brake booster before installing the new master? the rod that goes into the master cylinder is adjustable, also the brake pedal, underneath the dash is adjustable too.
