MAINTENANCE SERVICE INDICATOR RESET - PROCEDURE 1

StepAdjustAdditional Information
1Turn key in electronic ignition switch control unit to position "1"
2Press system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the basic display (mileage or temperature display) is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13)
3Briefly press trip odometer reset button (A1s3) 3 times. An acoustic signal can be heard and the voltage is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13).
4Press lower scroll forward/back button (S110s1)The "Service menu" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
5Press buttons + and -, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1) repeatedly and select "Confirmation" menu item
6Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm."Confirmation" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) and the menu item "Complete service" is highlighted.
7Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm."Service confirmed" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
8Press the upper system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the "Service menu" is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13)
9Using the + and - buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1) select the menu item "Special work"
10Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.
11Using the + and - buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1), select menu item "Service 3"
12Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.
13Select the engine oil grade used by pressing the + and - buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1)."Standard oil" or "Oil quality 229.5"
If only one oil quality is approved for the engine, oil selection is not possible.
14Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm. The message "Position confirmed" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
15Press upper system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the basic display (mileage or temperature display) is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13)
16Turn key in electronic ignition switch control unit to position "0"
