I put the car on jacks at my house and ran the engine for 30min with no drips but after my wife takes the car out for an hour or so she parks in the garage and when the engine cools down a big coolant puddle appears on the garage floor.

A pressure test is required to verify the leak. A visual inspection might work. Look out for signs of coolant spillage.

Leaks sometimes do not occur until sufficient pressure has built up in system or it could be only when cold or cooling down that the leak.

Did you check the coolant level? Is it coolant or condensation water from the A/C?
