1988 Mazda RX7 Two Wheel Drive Manual

This car has been quite the project. It was recently bought in October of '08, used for about a month, then it died. It was completely repaired, went about 5 miles down the road and caught on fire. (Nice huh)
Finally, it is about to be reborn again. Everything damaged by fire has been replaced. We tried to start it yesterday but she wouldn't turn over. It is not creating any spark. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, ignitor crank angle sensor cam and crank sensors- Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

We managed to get the car to start but it wont idle on its own. White smoke comes out of the exhaust. It looks nearly hopeless. =)

Try adjusting the idle speed screw to raise the RPM unable to-could be the headgasket blown or an intake manifold leak allowing coolant to enter the cylinders-that's the reason for the white smoke
