Engine Performance problem
1987 Mazda RX7 Two Wheel Drive Manual 20000 miles

I own an '87 Mazda RX-7, with 124,200 miles on the body and 20,000 on the engine, since the overhaul I performed. I recently had the A/C replaced with a stock Mazda unit and it was recharged and such. It works great and I can't complain about the A/C's performance, but it has now lowered my idle by roughly 250rpm and it noticeably affects performance depending on whether it's on or not. Is there a way to tune the idle to be higher? I want to raise my default idle from its current 1000rpm to 1125rpm or 1250rpm so that I don't stall the car out when the A/C is running.

The idle for your car should be around 750 RPM. Why would you want it so high?

It has to do with the new gear ratio I have. I switched to a 4.3 for better acceleration and it has to be slightly higher to jump off idle a little better. I have tuned the idle to a healthy 850 and can run it fine, it's just a bit sluggish considering the new installation.
