99 Mazda Protege computer reset

I got the car giving to me with a problem. The car has spark, and fuel just replace the timing belt and it still wont start. I think the computer shut the motor down. My fuel pump works but not when the key is on and all the relays are good how can I reset the computer?

If you didn't set the timing right, you could be 180 degrees out. Did you align the marks on the cams with the top of the head a TDC on the COMRPESSION stroke?

Lucky for you that the protege motor is not a 'contact' engine. What engine is in it? The 1.6 or the 1.8L? Sounds like you have the timing belt on wrong. Also make sure that the timing teeth on the crank pulley have not been damaged or bent at all.
