Hello! My car is a 2002 mazda protege, 2.0 engine with 70k miles. Recently the door lock is down. There is actually only one button beside the driver's side to control the locks for all the four doors. Now when I push the button, I could still hear the click, but only the driver's door is locked or unlocked and all other three doors won't react. Could anybody give me a direction on how to deal with this? I really appreciate your help.

You said there is one other button besides on the drivers side(on the passenger side?) Do the doors unlock withe the passenger side switch? If so it might be the drivers side switch itself.

Thank you for your reply. The only button to control all the four doors lies in the driver's door. Normally when you hit the button (either the "lock" part or the "unlock" part) ALL the four doors will be locked or unlocked simutaneously. Now the button can only control the driver's door lock, and all other three doors dont react at all.

It is more than likely your drivers side control, there might be a relay for it but I dont know where it is or if you have one for sure, best bet would be to buy a used door lock control from the junk yard (if you can find one) install it and see if it fixes your problem (shouldnt be more than like $5.00 for the part).
If it doesnt fix it then there is a relay, that you will need to find and replace. This would be cheaper than having a mechanic or body shop fix the door locks.
