95 Austina, 15kmiles approx. after driving 40mins, i heared some strange sound when i stepped the accelerator, kind of like a can rolled on the ground. Then, i noticed some smoke (not too much) comes from front hood of the car (right bottom of front hood) when I stopped the car. There was also a burning rubber smell.

Whats the problem? Is that ok to drive the car to the near car repair shop???

Take a look around the area that the belt rides. Look for little black particles or a build up of rust colored dust. Makes sure the belt is there. If you see something, post a good pic. I can't advise you on what to do. Towing is the safest way if this problem can't be determined on the net.

I would love to tell you something of value. I don't know what is happening enough to advise. You can let it idle for a bit and watch the temp gauge to see what is happening...noise..smell etc, You can drive it and craoss your fingers or have it towed.

Check your coolant level, sounds like the white smoke may be coolant leaking and getting onto the manifold. Wondering if the waterpump is having some trouble.
