My tank takes forever to fill with gas and the dealer says there is a valve in the tank that can't be serviced or replaced and the whole tank has to be replaced because of it! Can this be true?

hes right, but first check your fuel fill hose and make sure it is not kinked, then find the vaccum line on the tank and follow it up to the charcoal canister checking for cracks or cuts, if that is all good, test the canister if thats good then you will have to have the new tank.
