Hi whenever I drive around or place my car in neutral my car begins to whistle as soon as I let off the clutch. Sometimes the sound goes away or lowers when i've been driving around for awhile. Its the loudest when I just start my engine. Sometimes I kick my clutch to make the sound go away for awhile. When I lift my hood to see where the sound maybe coming from, it sounds like its coming from around the engine or distributor area. Maybe it could be a bearing or transmission problem. But I have no idea. How can I fix this noise without taking it back to the dealer for service?

I would start probing around with a stethescope to try to narrow down the source. You can use a long pry bar or screwdriver if you don't have one. By placing your ear to the plastic handle and the tip of the blade to each component you can better liten to the amplification of a particular component.

One place that I would be looking at is the alternater on this one. I have seen them tend to seize up. Also the belt if not OEM can be a problem. This may not be your source but something to check.
