1993 Mazda MX3 blue smoke out of exhaust

hi i am just trouble shooting. i bought the car and soon afterwards blue smoke was coming out of the exhaustand some one told me it might be a problem with the fuel regulator. i dont know what the problem is and i am just looking for a insight.

HI there,
Blue smoke is a sign of oil burning, if it was excessive fuel it would be black, try doing a service and change the filter use mineral oil say 20W-50 and see hoe that goes, if this still smokes, take note of when it dose, hot, cold start up, driving under highway conditions, idling hot and or cold....and report back,
