Transmission problem
1992 Mazda MX3 4 cyl Automatic 92,000 miles

Hello, my vechile is quit old but has been pretty reliable since the day I brought it (about 4 months ago). I recently ran into a problem which had me stumped. My car wont start in park but will in neutral. My dad said it might be my clutch switch but I looked all over for that and couldn't find one. I also heard it may be my neutral safety switch. But I found 2 that look nothing alike so I'm worried if I'm looking for the right part or not. Could you tell me what the problem may be. And how much the part might cost. I have uploaded the two switches. Is A or B the neutral switch I should be looking for?

neither are it. you have a automatic transmission so you do not have a clutch safety switch. therefor neither of those pictures are for you.

you want a neutral safety switch. it is the black thing that goes on the transmission where the shift rod/cable goes to on the transmission from the interior of the vehicle.

So I am looking for a Neutral Safety Switch but neither of those are for my automatic trans. Thanks! Now where could I find a Neutral Safety Switch for an automatic transmission? I've looked online all over for one but couldn't find anything. And I was told $30-$40 but would that onlt be for a manual transmission.
