I recently had replaced my stereo inside my car. Connected all wires to the new wiring harness as before. I turned the new Alpine radio on and recieved full power. Everything was working at the momment (interior lights, clock, radio) but when I put the radio into the cluster I suddenly lost power to it and my in-dash clock would reset everytime the car turned on/off. Not only that. After untaping and re-taping the wires to the harness I lost power to my clock, interior lights, and the radio still refused to turn on. I've check all the fuses inside the fuse box under the dash. And the fuse into the radio is good too. I'm all out of ideas. Anyone have any idea what may be the cause of this. By the way my car still starts on the first crank and my head and tail lights work as well. Please help me out here.I've come to a scretching halt trying to figure out what the problem may be. Thanks!

Hi copperhead3030,

Thank you for the donation.

The interior lighst and radio gets its power from the ROOM FUSE ( 15 A ) fuse in underdash fuse box. With the aid of a trest lamp, check if both ends of the fuse has power and check the Blue/Red wire at radio unit for battery voltage. It should be hot at all times.

The clock resetting is due to missing memory power and that should be related to the room fuse.
