I have a battery that is a year old and an alternator that was just replaced with new belts. It is currently 40 degrees out and my battery died over night. I put it on a trickle charge and started the car after it charged. I let the car run for about 20 minutes and turned it off. I let it sit for an hour and the battery was dead. What could be wrong? There are no lights on, or accessories on, and I see no signs of loose connections or grounds.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

You will need to get the battery load tested as you may have a collapsed cell in the batty, this will create an internal short and cause the battery to loose charge. Check the electrolyte if it looks Grey and murky all is not well with the battery.
