Starter revs but engine won't start
Electrical problem
1983 Mazda b2200 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 300000 miles
I had my starter rebuilt and the battery replaced with a tested one. Starter tested in a shop. Fixed up old worn out electric connections. The starter revs when I turn the key but the engine won't turn over. The problem came out of nowhere after running fine for about 600 mi. Is it possible the shop didn't check the solenoid, and that's why it isn't engaging? Or could it be a problem with the engine itself?

Replied on July 10, 2008
Put in gear bump so engine turns then try to start. If it dose flywheel teeth damage. If it still spins free R&R see if bendix is kicking out the pinion gear.
