2001 Mazda 626, 4 cyl, 63K miles. The software that came with my code reader says that this code means "idle air control monitor disabled by PSPS". I have located the idle air control (a small part that attaches to the intake manifold). It is very expensive but rather simple to replace. I don't know, though, if this part is the same as the "monitor", or if the monitor is something connected to the wire that comes out of the idle air control. I don't want to replace a $400 part and find that it's not the problem. Also, what is "PSPS"?

Thanks

PSPS Means: Power steering pressure switch...
Pressure switch is located right on the side of the pump.
Check that first!
Probably its just stuck!
