99 mazda 626 start problem

626 only 30k miles, when parked for half day in a hot day or under the sun, it's hard to start. cranking normally but taking a longer time to start. if hit gas once before start, it can start easily. is it anyting going down? any idea? thank you very much

For a start try the coolant temperature sensor
