Last night car wouldn't turn over, replaced the battery and still didn't turn over. This morning. Turned the ignition and pressed firmly down on the gas pedal and it turned over no problem. Took it to my mechanic and did a computer scan and nothing showed up. They can't find any trouble with the car as it was having no problems starting up when it was at the mechanic. They "suspect" it could be the crank sensor but are not certain. It might solve the problem and might not. Any ideas what else it might be?

still didn't turn over. Do you mean its cranking over but refusing to start-if so the starter/battery had done its job-

This problem is related to fuel and spark-in my book I'll troubleshoot the fuel system 1st-Why fuel comes before ignition.

I would shoot carb. cleaner thru the throttle body and see what happens if it fires up then its fuel related. Don't fire up ignition problem to include the valve/ignition timing.
