Hi
One day I came down 60 miles to 0 all of suddon when light turning to RED. Since, that day my car behaving very differently, it start jerks when I put gas when going ups and more frequently putting the gas.
I took it to local mechanic and he said there may air particle which might causing the problem and he also suspect transmission and it needs to replace. And he ask me drive little more if it get worest ask me to leave car, he said it cost 1750 USD.
this has been the case from lost month, but in observation when it damn cold out there it will geive me any problem even I can go upto 70MPH with jerks and also I can go beyond 60mph when I use cruise. I think problem is not wiht transmission it could be heat sensors or some thing else. What do you thing.

Hi zimmy100, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation and selecting us as your auto repair site Feel free to ask questions at anytime and Happy New Year 2010

Check and test the following below:

Oxygen Sensor
Catalytic Converter
Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)

Sometimes, what feels like a hesitation is actually ignition misfire rather than lean misfire. The causes of ignition misfire may include:

Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Wet plug wires
Coil and Rotor
