1985 Mazda 626 wont start

I welded on my exhaust pipe and forgot to unhook the battery. Now the car wont start. Could you please tell me what to look for? I am sure I burned something out but the service manual doesnt helo me. Thank you in advance
CAR HAS BEEN REPAIRED. COIL WIRE JUST HAPPENED TO GO BAD AT THIS TIME. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE.

Where were you welding? Havent heard of that killing a car before. Muffler shops never diconnect th ebattery to weld on the exhaust. Check all you fuses, see if it has spark
