2004 Mazda 6 NEED HELP WITH A WEIRD ONE

I have a 2004 Mazda 6 that will not start. When I turn the key to the "on" position the gauges (mph and rpm) go haywire. They go up and down in a possesed manner. The indicators on the dash board light up and blink. The car also makes a continual clicking noise. This continues until I switch the car to off. Please provide me some insight to my demon car. Thanks!

This happened to me as well you need to replace the battery because it is going bad. You may still get the voltage and everything might work electrically but it is going bad.
